Why Merbau Table
There Are Faster Services. Few Are This Careful.
We do not overpromise. What we offer is a steady, experienced presence that helps households get things in order without making them feel behind.

Sessions at Your Pace
No countdown clock. We work through the task properly or reschedule cleanly — not rushed to a fixed slot.
Language-Comfortable
Assistants work in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Language matching is part of our intake process.
We Come to You
Home and office visits across Petaling Jaya — no need to carry folders across town and queue.
Tangible End Result
Every session produces something concrete — a labelled system, an index, a handbook, or a written summary.
Background-Checked Team
All assistants carry a current integrity declaration and have completed a background check before their first visit.
Family Kept in the Loop
Senior companion sessions include a short update note for a nominated family contact after each visit.
What Each Benefit Means in Day-to-Day Terms
Experienced Support Assistants
Our assistants have backgrounds in community welfare, public counter work, and social services — not general administration. That means they recognise the kinds of documents Malaysian households deal with, know the standard form layouts, and understand which counter requires which original versus a photocopy.
- Familiar with JPN, LHDN, and DBKL document requirements
- Experience with MyKad, MySejahtera records, utility account transfers
- Plain-language explainers for legal letters and official notices
"The assistants knew immediately that the letter was a standard DBKL assessment notice — not a summons. That alone saved a very worried evening."
— Typical client experience, Petaling Jaya
A Session in Three Phases
- 1. Triage: We look at what you have and sort it into categories — action needed, file and keep, discard with caution.
- 2. Organise: Documents go into a logical system you can maintain — physical folders, a one-page index, and a digital checklist if you want one.
- 3. Handover: We walk you through everything, answer questions, and give you a written summary of what was done.
A Structured Process, Not an Ad-Hoc Visit
Each service type follows a clear workflow — not because we are rigid, but because a predictable structure helps you know what to prepare, what to expect, and what you will walk away with. We adapt the pace; we do not improvise the method.
Care That Does Not Rush
Most household administration services are timed, templated, or handled by someone who has seven more calls to make. Merbau Table is sized deliberately small. Our assistants carry manageable schedules so that when they sit down with you, they are actually present — not looking at the clock.
- Senior companion sessions adapted session by session to the person's energy
- Accompanied visits explained step by step, not in bulk at the start
- Family update note after every senior session, in plain language
What "Unhurried" Actually Means
It means a two-hour visit is two hours of focused work — not forty-five minutes of work and seventy-five minutes of wrap-up conversation. If the task is not finished, we discuss a follow-up honestly rather than rushing through the last twenty minutes.
What Each Price Includes
- RM 520 — Paperwork Visit: Two hours, labelled folder set, one-page index, digital checklist.
- RM 2,150 — Companion Desk (month): Four weekly sessions, family update notes, priority booking.
- RM 4,350 — Newcomer Package: Twelve weeks, six accompanied visits, neighbourhood handbook, community introductions.
Transport within Petaling Jaya area included. No hidden extras.
Straightforward Pricing, No Hidden Extras
The price stated is the price charged. There are no surcharges for printing, travel within the Petaling Jaya area, or session notes. We discuss any potential additional costs — such as travel to locations outside our standard area — before a booking is confirmed, not afterwards.
Something Concrete at the End
A session is not complete until there is something you can hold in your hand or point to on a shelf. Our assistants do not leave with the work unfinished in a digital folder — the outcome is a physical system, a written document, or a clear next-step list that you own and can use independently.
- Household document system that any family member can navigate
- Newcomer handbook covering local services, transport, and contacts
- Written session summary with follow-up actions listed clearly

What Sets Us Apart
The Neighbourhood Handbook
Part of the Newcomer Settling-In Package, this is a practical printed guide to local services, transport routes, community contacts, and useful phone numbers — put together specifically for the area where the family is settling. Not a generic pamphlet.
Community Group Introductions
Newcomer participants are introduced to at least two local community groups relevant to their situation — resident associations, language exchange groups, or parent networks — not through a list, but through an arranged introduction.
The One-Page Family Index
At the end of every Household Paperwork Organisation visit, we produce a single printed index of what is filed where — so anyone in the household, including someone who was not present during the visit, can find any document in under two minutes.
Free Initial Conversation
Before any service is booked, we offer a short phone conversation at no charge. We listen to the situation, describe what we can do, and — if we are not the right fit — say so plainly and suggest where else to look.
