What exactly happens during a Household Paperwork Organisation visit?

A support assistant comes to your home or office for two hours. Together, you go through documents pile by pile — identity copies, utility accounts, school records, insurance folders, warranty slips — and sort them into a labelled system you choose. At the end, you receive a one-page paper index so anyone in the household can find anything quickly. We also provide a set of labelled folders as part of the visit fee.

Can the Senior Companion Desk sessions happen by phone, or must they be in person?

Either works, and you can mix them. Some clients prefer in-person visits for tasks involving physical paperwork, and a phone call for reviewing a letter or preparing questions for a clinic appointment. We plan the monthly schedule together at the start of each month.

What does "accompanied visit" mean in the Newcomer Settling-In Package?

It means a Merbau Table assistant travels with you to the location — for example, the local council counter, the public transport pass office, or a community centre — and stays with you throughout. We help you understand what is being said or requested, and we explain each step as it happens. We do not fill in forms on your behalf, but we make sure you understand what you are signing.

How quickly can a visit be arranged?

For a Household Paperwork Organisation visit, we typically have availability within five to seven working days. For the Senior Companion Desk monthly package, we ask for a short intake conversation first, which can usually be scheduled within three working days. Newcomer packages begin with an intake call and a personalised plan, which we aim to complete within the first two weeks.

Are the service fees all-inclusive, or are there extra charges?

The fees listed are all-inclusive for the session and materials described — the folder set for the organisation visit, the neighbourhood handbook for the newcomer package, and the family update notes for the companion desk. Transport costs for accompanied visits within the Petaling Jaya and Mutiara Damansara area are included. Visits to locations significantly further away may have a small mileage component, which we discuss upfront.

What languages does your team work in?

Our assistants work comfortably in English and Bahasa Malaysia. For newcomer packages, we ask about your language preferences during the intake conversation and match you with the most suitable assistant where possible.
